When Swedish supermodel Elsa Hosk isn’t shooting global campaigns for the biggest fashion houses or jetting around the world for fashion month, she lives a relatively low-key lifestyle with her partner, Tom Daly, and their adorable baby girl, Tuulikki Joan Daly. Only on occasion do we get small glimpses of the couple and their adorable little family, which leads us to the question: how much do you know about the man in her life?
Unlike his other half, Tom Daly isn’t a public figure but he does work in the fashion world, though that isn’t the only thing the two have in common. Having known each other for over a decade and been in a relationship since 2015, Daly and Elsa Hosk are in it for the long-haul. Not only are they an obscenely good looking pair but their love for one another is clear from their sweet Instagram posts dedicated to each other, with Daly even referring to Hosk as “the sun to my moon” in a birthday shoutout from November 2021.
So, as the two grace the cover of Vogue Scandinavia with their daughter for our April/May issue, we thought it was time for you to get to know Mr Daly a little better…
He is also Scandinavian
In case you couldn’t tell by his luscious blonde locks, Daly is also Scandinavian. He is Danish but was born in Ascot, England. Daly also spent time in London, where he went to university but now shares a home with Hosk in California, where the two are raising their daughter.

He is the co-founder of sports fashion start-up, District Vision
Daly is the co-founder of District Vision, an athleisure and sports accessories brand based in California. He started the brand, alongside long-term friend and business partner Max Vallot in December 2015 and it has been growing from strength to strength ever since. It's been featured in the likes of GQ, New York Times and Wall Street Journal for its innovative approach to sportswear.
As stated on the District Vision website, Daly and Vallot create products that are “function-first and performance enhancing” for athletes, using a holistic and mental health-focused approach when producing their stock. This includes everything from eyewear, tops, jackets and bottoms for various sports activities.

There is debate on how Elsa and Tom met
One look at Daly’s Instagram will tell you just how much he adores Hosk. The couple - initially met in 2011 before, in Daly’s words, getting “ourselves together eventually” and embarking on a relationship in 2015. In Vogue Scandinavia's cover story, Hosk claims it was love at first sight for the pair. “I was just invited randomly to this party and I was seated next to him,” Hosk tells print editor Allyson Shiffman. “I was kind of in a relationship at the time and he was also in a relationship at the time, but I do remember it was love at first sight.” Daly recalls things a little bit differently. “She tells this amazing story that she always knew we were going to be together,” he says. “But I don’t know if we can quite believe her on that.” According to Daly, he was, in fact, single at the time and believes he asked Hosk to introduce him to her female friends.
A couple of years later, the two were both working and living in New York and eventually Daly asked her out. “I was so nervous to make the first move,” says Daly. "It took me six weeks."
He champions women
Watching the mother of your child give birth to your first born is without a doubt a surreal experience. Daly took the moment to share his appreciation for not only Hosk but all women in a beautifully written post a week after their daughter Tuulikki was born, on 11 February, 2021.
“Normalising a conversation around the beautiful reality of birth is a challenging idea in the world of western medicine where pain is bad and healthcare is business. It was a privilege to witness Elsa courageously birth our child and experience the serene, painful beauty of sherparding a child into this world,” he wrote. “Prior to the birth we had watched Elephants in the wild give birth. Surrounded by fellow females, they create a support network that facilitates the birth of the child and the wellbeing of the mother. Elsa’s birth was no different in how she worked together with Abby, Carson and Johanna. To a man with a limited understanding of what this will ever directly feel like, I watched them support, elevate, motivate and care for one another to bring Tuulikki into this world. It is an honor to see that the mechanisms of humanity, at it’s very core, need not evolve. We have it all in ourselves and through our relationship to one another if we are open to seeing the great beauty of humanity. Women are gods and the force of life is strong! <3”
He’s a gemini
According to a birthday post shared by Hosk on Daly's birthday, he was born on 25th May. You know what that means: He’s a gemini. If you're into astrology, this is interesting considering the fact that Hosk is a Scorpio, which is one of the least compatible signs for a gemini. Luckily, the two have defied the theories and seem to be a perfect match for one another no matter what our Co-Star app may say.
