The gallery-cum-store is an ever-changing space with some of the most sought-after furniture, textiles, and ceramics of the 20th century. Modernity painstakingly researches their pieces, so you won’t just find out the designer and material, but likely exactly where and how it has been used in the past. Even if you’re not looking to buy, treat this place like an art gallery and go feast your eyes.

Temporärt

What started in 2011 as a pop-up of vintage furniture curated by Cristian Lind has become a mainstay of the design-meets-art scene in Stockholm. In addition to selling vintage furniture (curated more for aesthetic than any particular design era or well-known designers), Temporärt does set design, curated experiences including dining, and even music curation.
Their Stockholm location is more of a showroom than a shop; we recommend you shop through their online store or Instagram.

Brandenstationen

This fabulous shop has a combination of new and vintage, but their vintage is a real treat. Furniture, lighting, and an incredible array of vintage Moroccan rugs: they have it all! Brandstationen’s style is a little more glamorous and lush than the typical Swedish interior design store, but that’s what makes it special. Definitely a must-visit for a day or afternoon of interior treasure hunting.
