For most industries, a ‘quarterly’ update has more to do with fiscal plans and budgets than moisturisers and SPF, but in the Nordic beauty industry, it marks how often we need to overhaul our bathroom cabinets. Every three months or so, the weather demands an update to our seasonal skincare routines – and the time has come to switch from winter to spring.
When the weather thaws, beauty aficionados, co-founders and romantic partners Patrik Lernberger and Mattias Stafsing (the duo behind buzzy Swedish beauty brand Lernberger Stafsing) focus on boosting hydration. “We mainly focus on increasing the moisture level in the skin,” they say. This means adding more moisturising products to their respective routines, such as their brand’s cult S.O.S Barrier Cream.
Another essential step when overhauling your skin for spring is to exfoliate regularly to remove any dry and chapped skin. Here, Lernberger and Stafsing opt for both their Overnight Retinol + Mask.
