Take inspiration from twin sisters Noella and Nickosha Arnold and their double-or-nothing approach to style

Safe to say, there is something of a 'twin thing' going on in the fashion world at the moment. In case you missed it, Alessandro Michele sent no less than 68 pairs of twins down Gucci's spring/summer 2023 runway, and just a few hours later in Milan, Sunnei's show presented a play on doppelgänger illusions as models moved through a revolving door. That being said, it is a theme which is reminiscent of prior runway theatrics, with Comme des Garçons, Marc Jacobs and John Galliano all calling on twins or clone-like figures for their runway theatrics over the last decade.

Fittingly, Vogue Scandinavia's Issue 8 features model twins Noella and Nickosha Arnorld – uncovered by the #MyVogueScandinavia hashtag – who offer a masterclass in mirror-image styling with every post shared to their joint Instagram account.

As attested by their growing social following, the twins share an inherent knack for style, but also maintain their own distinct approaches to dressing. “We would perhaps like the same items but style them differently," says Noella, who is based in Switzerland . "Nickosha’s style is cleaner, more elegant and classic, while I am a bit edgier – she’s more of a Chelsea boot and I’m a combat boot,” she adds about her twin sister, who lives in Norway.

Below, we take a look through the duo's archives and round up their five best twinning looks.

Always complement one another

"The secret to a lasting friendship: never compete just complement," reads the caption to this all-black mirror-image ensemble. With Nikosha donning a tailored Tom Ford dress, Noella ensured they walked the talk, complementing with a bespoke dress from Salvatore Schito. Their take on accessorising the black ensembles? Classic shades paired with pumps and manicured nails with a pop of unexpected colour.

Suited and booted

Captured on the streets of Paris, Noella and Nickosha unleash the power of tailoring, courtesy of French brand Maje. Whether single or double breasted is your suiting preference, the twins showcase the effortless ease of styling either with a kitten heel boot or structured bag.

Pop of neon

Moving away from the day-to-day street style moments into something more abstract, the model pair slip into draped black shirts and striking yellow stockings, as designed by Swedish textile artist Aleksander Sahr. Posing back-to-back, Noella and Nickosha again prove the effect of good accessorising with artfully matching statement earrings.

Denim duo

When it comes to denim, Noella and Nickosha showcase two-way styling of classic high-waist, boot-cut jeans in a versatile light blue wash. Noella puts forward a case for understated style with a plunging black blazer, while Nickosha lifts her denim look with a simple white top embellished with a supersized bow, courtesy of H&M.

Kindred khaki

Once again flying the flag for Scandinavian brands, the model pair sport garments in khaki tones by Norwegian tailor T-Michael. Nikosha dons a utilitarian style shirt with patch pockets and oversized collar, while Noella dives head-to-toe with a belted blazer and wide-leg trousers.
