From Marie Antoinette to Empress Sisi, royals are the original tastemakers. Setting the sartorial standards throughout history, kings and queens have championed designers and jewellers putting their royal stamp of approval on a selection of brands. Today, the practice continues as monarchs sport everything from beautiful gowns by local couturiers like Lars Wallin, to sparkling gems from jewellers such as Griegst.
