It is said that every piece of jewellery tells a story, and in this case, we bask in the never ending tales of a living land where we follow the wise and mighty elephants while they graze through the plains of the savanna and we hide in the middle of the grasslands hunting with the king of the jungle himself.
For this Vogue Scandinavia editorial we took nature, life, and the very essence of the animals that are here represented and we encase them forever in the alluring dazzle of precious gems and unmissable diamonds. For once, the peacock is faithfully represented and not one gram of his beauty is lost in the intricate weaving of his construction. For the first time, the firefly stopped his eternal journey only for us to be enchanted by the magical glistening of his wings; and finally, the zebra has let go of the need to blend in with the landscape and has empowered itself to take pride in its beauty and boldness.
What more could we ask from these magnificent creatures, other than for them to teach us, contrary to the chameleon, to never blend in, never dim our own light and always shine, like diamonds, pearls and fine metals, in our everyday light.
A refined reflection of our love for this planet, adorning ourselves with animals is hardly a passing fancy. These meticulously crafted incarnations embody our limitless respect for Mother Nature.
