Remix your classic all-white ensembles with confident black accents, as curated by Vogue Scandinavia's fashion editors
All products featured on Vogue are independently selected by our fashion editors. However, when you buy something through our retail links, we may earn an affiliate commission. These products are only available to Scandinavian customers.
While head-to-toe white is a well-known uniform for the Scandinavians, this season we invite you to add confident black accents.
Below, our fashion editors hand-select the seven pieces from Nordic labels that embrace the simplicity and elegance of monochrome.
Tank by Almada Label
Finnish brand Almada Label is committed to using high-quality natural materials that are responsibly sourced and ethically produced, like the super-soft merino and cashmere blend of this knitted tank. That will last if hand-washed and dried flat.
Ring by Nootka
Stockholm-based founder and designer Lisa Olsson focuses on creating pieces from entirely recycled materials. This signet ring is a prime example, handcrafted from recycled 925 silver and 24-carat gold plating, giving the piece an entirely unique texture.
Jeans by Amendi
For Amendi, traceability and transparency are always at the forefront. These jeans are sustainably made from 100% organic cotton - even the zipper is recycled polyester. They are cut to sit high and fitted on the waist with a straight fit through the leg. The Swedish brand compensates 200% of its CO2 emissions annually.
Belt by Little Liffner
From Stockholm-based Little Liffner’s new belt collection, this corset-style piece is crafted from smooth black calf leather. It’s made in a small family-run factory in Northern Italy, where materials are locally sourced.
Sandals by Day
DAY Birger Mikkelsen’s strappy leather sandals have a structured square toe and are propped up on small heels.
Earrings by Sophie by Sophie
Swedish designer Sophie Gyllenhammars has an extensive past in jewellery design. Her hoop earrings are produced from gold-plated brass coated with glossy black enamel and topped with gold-plated recycled silver fastenings. Make sure to store these earrings in their pouch to maintain their shine.
Bucket hat by Hope
Stockholm-based brand Hope collaborated with The Swedish Cancer Society to create this cotton and linen bucket hat which has a wider brim at the back for additional sun protection. 10% of sales goes to Cancerfonden. To care for this piece, we recommend machine washing it at 30°C.
