The best of the best of the world’s artists are once more taking to stadiums, arenas and festivals across the globe. While we were in desperate need of concerts and live events only six months ago, today, the number of ticket sales rolling out is starting to get a bit overwhelming.

So, here is the ultimate guide for the best concerts to get tickets for in Scandinavia in the summer of 2022.

1

With her pandemic viral hit songs 'Levitating', 'Cold Heart' (featuring Elton John), and 'Break My Heart', to name a few, Dua Lipa takes on the world stage in custom Mugler and Balenciaga catsuits. Catch the feeling of Future Nostalgia in Helsinki, Oslo and in Stockholm on the last night of the European leg.

Harry Styles

I personally went to see Harry Styles’s show at the Forum in Los Angeles in autumn last year, and it was one of the best shows I’ve seen in a long time. Styles’ 'Love On Tour' makes stops in Oslo, Copenhagen and Stockholm, so if one is inclined to have a Penny Lane moment, this is your time to shine.

The favourite of the sad indie kids comes to Scandinavia in early May, kicking off the distant beginning of summer with the final sad songs before we enter our Summer Child era. Playing 4,000 people rooms, this is sure to be a die-hard fan fest. So, get your tickets before they’re all sold out as this intimate of a setting will be one of the hottest tickets of the year.

Molly Sandén

Known internationally as Sweden’s answer to Adele, Molly Sandén blew us all away with her performance of the song 'My Hometown' from Eurovision: The story of Fire Saga at the Oscars last year. As she’s released an album during the pandemic, it’s time to experience her unmatched vocals once more, as she travels through Norway and Sweden this spring.

Håkan Hellström

Swedish indie icon Håkan Hellström celebrates a 20-year-long career at the iconic Ullevi in Gothenburg this summer. An anticipated show that will help spur on the indie sleaze moment that is happening right now, indie rock is back in full swing — and Hellström is the poster child.

6

Ed Sheeran

Pop star Ed Sheeran comes to Gothenburg for two nights in August, the first tour since the release of his record =, including hits like Bad Habits and Shivers. Famous for his incredibly stripped down shows, with only Sheeran, his guitar, and a loop pedal, these dates will be a true show of pop star talent.

Lollapalooza Stockholm

A music festival renowned across the world, this is where you’ll find all of your favourites on the same stage during the same weekend. This year’s roster includes Italian favourite Måneskin, indie-pop royalty Lorde, Post Malone, the Kid Laroi, Swedish sensations Veronica Maggio, Tove Lo and Miriam Bryant, as well as country superstar Kacey Musgrave, and indie-rock favourite The Killers, amongst many, many others. Sounds almost too good to be true.

The Strokes, Clairo, Tyler, The Creator, Japanese Breakfast, Florence and the Machine, Snoh Aalegra and Daniela Rathana (and many, many more) are all gathering in Rosendal in Stockholm in the beginning June to start the summer off right. With a little bit for everyone, this is sure to be a garden party you don’t want to miss.

Way Out West

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, First Aid Kit, Yung Lean, Tame Impala and Girl in Red are some of the world’s biggest stars about to give us the festival performance of a lifetime at what many would consider to be Sweden’s best and brightest festival, in the middle of Gothenburg. It’s time to dig out your festival Hunter boots and a silver mini dress to give Kate Moss and Alexa Chung realness at the party of the summer.

10

Øyafestivalen

Set in the middle of Oslo, Øyafestivalen is Oslo's biggest music stage for the summer. With international icons such as Gorillaz, Florence and The Machine, as well as Norwegian stars such as Dagny, Girl in Red and Emilie Nicolas, this is a true celebration of the Norwegian music phenomenon.
