From gilded nails to 1990s updos, discover the best beauty moments from the Grammys red carpet
They say everything is bigger, better and brighter in Vegas, and that sure did apply to the beauty looks the stars wore on the red carpet for the 64th Annual Grammy Awards. Perceived by many as the Oscars' edgier, avant-garde counterpart, the Grammy Awards always surprise its viewers with a new level of style, fashion and, most definitely, beauty.
Here Vogue Scandinavia rounds up the best hair, makeup, and nails celebrities wore on the Grammys 2022 red carpet.
Dua Lipa embodied the Versace muse
Sporting lower-back length icy-platinum blonde hair, a rich-bold red lip and gold-chromed nails, it was impossible not to envision Dua Lipa as a younger version of Donatella Versace. With undertones of the Italian fashion house's matriarch, the pop diva was a true vision amongst the stars.
Lil Nas X's inner corner shine
Known for pushing boundaries and breaking stereotypes, Gen Z-darling Lil Nas X opted for a simple, understated yet noticeable pop of colour in the inner corner of his eyes. With a shade that brought out the details of his look, the flirty cerulean wink lit up his whole complexion.

Billie Eilish's midnight up-do
Single-handedly, Billie Eilish is paving the way back for raven-black hair into mainstream beauty. With a '90s inspired spiky up-do that was as styled as it was carefree, the long fringe and fanned-out bun were a shiny-bright onyx in the middle of the night.

Halsey's hat moment
Last night, Halsey embodied the red carpet. With an ombre-red lip topped with gloss, a buffed-out wing, and dip-dyed red hair peeping out from underneath a hat, the pop star was all about 1990s beauty.

Doja Cat did 2000s red carpet right
A contemporary take on Christina Aguilera, Doja Cat's irrefutable nod to the 2000s was carefully designed to put the spotlight on the Grammy-winning star. From the spiked-up, half-braided hair to the frosty, smoked-out pink and purple shadow and her extra-long nails, the modern-day diva had one of the best beauty moments of the night.
The Kid Laroi's bubblegum-pink curls
Known for his dreamy-golden locks, The Kid Laroi shook things up for the red carpet by opting for a saturated, deep shade of bubblegum pink. The Tik Tok It-boy brought the platform's eccentric looks to the red carpet, but we're hoping he will make the digitally-approved makeover permanent.

DJ Millie's graphically precise liner
While wearing an overall simple look, DJ Millie turned up the proverbial beauty volume with an expertly applied graphic liner. With millimetric precision, not a single black pigment was out of place, and the white counterpart brought out her eyes for a striking, defined look.

Lily Aldridge's barely-there beauty
While the consensus in Vegas is 'more is more', Lily Aldridge proved that sometimes the opposite applies. Simple, elegant and classic, the supermodel walked the carpet with a fresh face and a striking stare.

Laverne Cox's vintage eyebrows
Bypassing her gorgeous fuchsia locks and matching ombre lip, Laverne Cox stunned the carpet with a reiteration of the almost-forgotten thin, drawn-in brow. While it is a theatrical choice fit for red carpet dressing, we hope the trend doesn't stick. Few can pull it off as well as the actress did during the ceremony night.
