Last month Kate Middleton wowed in head-to-toe gold, and last night, Swedish’s Crown Princess Victoria, continued the royal precious-metal trend in a floor length silvery lilac gown.
Attending a gala dinner at the Swedish Ambassador’s residence in Rome, the future queen captivated guests and paparazzi lens alike in By Malina’s new-season 'Cherie' dress in lilac. The dress which is part of the label’s party edit and is already sold out thanks to its royal fan. The dress while business at the front, is backless, a nod to this season's more daring cutout trend. She paired the dress with a Wilbur & Gussie clutch adorned with a bee brooch from the brand. Her hair was pulled back in her signature regal bun.

The future Queen is in Rome to promote bilateral relations in the fields of trade and investment. Her By Malina piece, however, is just a small part of the sartorial treats the tour has been serving.
To attend the inauguration of the Images that Change the World exhibition at Piazza San Silvestro, the royal wore a Totême square neck blouse in a champagne shade with smart black trousers.
