Feel-good footwear, sparkles and high heels - that is the result of shoes designed in lockdown. Featured in the October/November issue of Vogue Scandinavia this season's statement shoes are not for the fainthearted, as sky-scraping platforms were the uniting choice for a number shoe designers. Unique, colourful but above all built for maximum wearability with a low arch, this season's platforms celebrates life and freedom of expression. From glittery party sock-boots to avant-garde collectables, these are the platform boots to invest in this winter.
Prada - knitted jacquard platforms
Leave it to Prada to bring the fun back to footwear. This season the Italian fashion house betted it all on a single shape, as futuristic flatforms were presented in a range of colours and styles. The boot, that we predict will be the 'it' shoe to invest in this fall is not for the fainthearted, but does not compromise on the comfort factor either.

Undoubtedly one of the most talked about shoes of the season, Versace’s many versions of the stacked block-heeled platform has grown into a seasonal must-have. This daring platform sits on an impressive 16cm heel and comes with the house's signature logo printed motif. A true shoe lover’s choice that is guaranteed not to go untouched this fall.
Molly Goddard - leather platforms
London-based designer Molly Goddard has turned stompy platforms into her signature style. These leather boots are built on a 9cm platform sole that's been made from recycled materials. The Corinthia ankle boots also come in a knee-high version, and in a show-stopping gold colour. A timeless shape to be cherished forever.

Roger Vivier - patent leather heels
This bold knee boot is a a new style for French shoe house Roger Vivier, and comes with a signature, tonal, covered buckle. The stiletto heel and patent leather finish is a statement in itself and it's a boot that will upgrade even the most simple outfit this season. Wear them with a midi skirt or cropped boot-leg trousers for maximum impact.

Schiaparelli
Schiaparelli’s gold-toed platform boots fall into a category of their own, and rightfully so, as designer Daniel Roseberry’s wearable art creations can only be bought in store. The historic couture houses collections have been gathering momentum amongst A-listers from Lady Gaga’s inauguration dove brooch to Bella Hadid’s golden décolletage Cannes dress, as the newly appointed designer is the first American to lead a French couture house. The shoes are inline with the surreal aesthetic, where sky-high platforms and sculptural details come as standard.

Stella McCartney - lurex polyamide heels
With a more subtle take on the platform, but a loud dominant in the season's trendy boots section, Stella McCartney’s Groove boots in shimmering, pumpkin coloured Lurex is your ideal, autumn boots. The curved block heel and duck toe is an instantly recognisable signature to the designer's shoes this season, as they come in both wearable ankle boots, as well as loud, OTK glitter boots. The sturdy heel and platform toe allows for maximum wearability and will be the ideal party boots for the upcoming festivities.
