Take a peek at the party people co-hosted by Eytys' Max Schiller and Brutalisten's Carsten Höller, through the lens of Pierre Björk
On Friday evening a crowd of artists, actors, models and cool kids gathered in a teeny tiny space in central Stockholm. The occasion: Club 111x, an evening cohosted by Eytys’ co-founder Max Schiller and artist Carsten Höller at the latter’s celebrated restaurant Brutalisten. Schiller’s goal was to throw “a Stockholm party too late to be forgotten”. For those who didn’t overindulge in the free flowing natural wines, it was certainly a night to remember.
By the bar, the cast of Snabba Cash mingled with the cast of The Playlist. Elsewhere, Swedish supermodels Caroline Winberg and Frida Gustavsson chatted animatedly. Giovanna Engelbert, a Swede, lest we forget, cruised around the cramped space with her sister Sara Battaglia as Höller held court, popping behind the bar to pour more drinks. Under the twisted staircase, a live performance by pop sensation Stella Explorer.
All of this shameless namedropping is to say that Brutalisten is firmly on the map as a gathering place for the cool and cultural. “It was great to see Brutalisten transform from a restaurant to a party with an amazing vibe full of interesting people,” Höller says the morning after the soiree.
Schiller agrees the evening was a roaring success. To him, the highlight was “standing outside in Stockholm late October surrounded by friends and family, drinking wine and eating forest mushrooms off the grill.”
