Samsøe Samsøe releases its first ever eyewear collection just in time for summer sun

The Danish design house delivers a signature effortlessness "with a touch of edge" launching its first ever line of sunglasses

In recent months, it's been nonstop newness out of Samsøe Samsøe's headquarters. The Danish brand has made its make with a history of timeless and effortless staples, and its womenswear category recently zhuzhed up with a Gen Z twist under the creative direction of designer Meme Fagiouli. Now, the brand releases a new product category, introducing four eyewear styles just in time for summer.

"We are excited to present our first eyewear collection," say the designers behind the styles, Meme Fagiuoli and Gitte Wetter. Described as "a natural progression in the expansion" of Samsøe Samsøe, the duo explains how they approached the new product category with the same vision that they share for any other item: "finding a balance of timeless and effortless shapes, with a touch of edge”,

The duo feel that these first four shapes "represent the brand perfectly." Quinn and Jude are the more classic styles in the line up, the former a round aviator-esque share and the latter slightly elongated into a cat-eye. In addition, the women's team developed the Milo design; "a bold, wide framed model with a confident vibe" as the duo explains, while the men's team focused on Kim, a frame with "an edgy '90s vibe to it."

To close the sustainable loop, all purchased sunglasses from this, and upcoming collections can be returned for recycling from spring 2024 on, which will be rewarded with a discount code for the Samsøe Samsøe online shop.
