When Pearl Octopuss.y took to the runway in August in the Norwegian capital, the front row cohort were abuzz with what the label – known for its jewellery and brooches – would show. The spring/summer '24 showcase didn't disappoint – with the brand presenting a line-up of its first ready-to-wear pieces (suitably trimmed with light-catching adornments).

The best part? All of the garments were handmade, and better yet, upcycled from vintage pieces. Here, we zoom in one piece in particular, the Silencio Spiral Jacket re-sewn with swirling, meandering lines of beads and rhinestones – bringing new life to an old men's blazer.

The garment now takes pride of place in the wardrobe of editor in chief Martina Bonnier, and will be worn on high rotation for years to come. “Encompassing Vogue Scandinavia's values of sustainability and resourcefulness and, of course, being locally designed and produced, the Silencio Spiral Jacket is the perfect starting point for our new 'ReVogue' initiative,” Bonnier says.

ReVogue is a new complimentary repair service for Vogue Scandinavia Society members that breathes new life into otherwise forgotten or unloved garments.
