The royal's latest sartorial move mixes traditional royal dressing with buzzy fashion
At the most recent Stockholm Fashion Week, there was one presentation that the cool kids wouldn’t dare miss: Stand Studio. Models, actresses and the style set all gathered in the label’s signature muppet coats and boots to usher in a new collection and cement the brand’s status as an It-crowd favourite.
But it seems the oversized pop-bright faux furs' fans aren’t just hanging in Södermalm, but palaces, with Princess Sofia taking a shine to the buzzy label.

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vasaloppet – an annual long-distance cross-country ski race held on the first Sunday of March – Prince Carl Philip of Sweden, Princess Sofia of Sweden and their son Prince Alexander of Sweden gathered at Mora to mark the occasion. Prince Carl Philip made the inaugural speech.
For the outing, Princess Sofia opted for Stand Studio’s ‘Chloé’ coat in Ecru which she paired with a cream knit top by Finnish label (and royal favourite) Andiata, pale green wide-leg trousers by Tiger of Sweden (which can still be purchased here) and black heeled boots. This isn’t the first time the royal has worn the jacket, which has now sold out online.

The look once again signals Princess Sofia’s knack for mixing on-the pulse Scandinavian brands with more traditional royal dressing. She knows that a little faux fur is the logical step to update a pant suit while a statement Susan Szatmáry clutch can breathe fresh life into a business appropriate A-line dress.
