The praised Norwegian actress served multiple gorgeous LV looks on the red carpets last night. Here is everything you need to know
Even though we saw a plethora of sartorial successes on the 2022 Academy Awards red carpet, it’s safe to say that the star that shone the brightest was Scandi. Norwegian Renate Reinsve is paving her way to becoming the Nordic actress du jour, as her gripping performance in the critically acclaimed The Worst Person in the World granted her the 2021 Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actress, alongside a number of nominations for other accolades. Reinsve was also featured in Vogue Scandinavia’s October/November issue.
In the just-occurred 2022 Oscars, The Worst Person in the World was up for Best Original Screenplay and Best International Feature Film; however, the title didn’t snatch a statue this time. Nonetheless, Reinsve blessed us with two elegant head-to-toe Louis Vuitton ensembles styled by Karla Welch, guaranteeing the Scandi star a spot in every best-dressed list.
For the 2022 Oscars red carpet and ceremony, the actress opted for a look originally from the Louis Vuitton spring/summer 2022 runway. Donning a 1920s-inspired ivory and black slip dress elaborately embellished with sequins and crystals, instead of combining the piece with straight-leg blue jeans as done by Nicolas Ghesquière, Reinsve dressed it up with black lace leggings and matching stilettos. Fresh-faced, the actress’s cherry-red lip added the final touch to her opulent Hollywood glam.

Keeping the ethereal goddess vibe she was giving at the 2022 BAFTAs with her gold-detailed porcelain custom Louis Vuitton gown intact, for the iconic Vanity Fair Oscar’s after-party, the actress donned a flowing, light taupe crystal-embellished chiffon number by the French Maison with sweeping cape detailing. Swiftly cementing her place in the Scandi style set (and maybe as the new face for Louis Vuitton?), we’re eager to see how Reinsve’s red carpet style will evolve.
