There's a certain sartorial sense required when dressing for ski season. Layering lets us comfortably transition from freezing mountaintops to valleys for a warming après ski – yet while function is the main feature we're looking for, the autumn/winter 2021 runways offered some seriously stylish skiwear to be inspired by. From Miu Miu to Chanel, the luxury section of the fashion industry whole heartedly embraced the mountainside this season, and as a result, we find ourselves craving more than just a sunny morning with fresh snow: Now we also crave a carefully curated outfit to hit the slopes in.

Chloé
Rock up to the ski lifts in Chloé's retro skiwear. Partnering with Fusalp, the two French fashion houses has found the perfect balance of modern materials and the glamour of yesteryear. From the racing stripes to the bellbottoms, the 1970s inspiration is seen in both silhouettes and selection of shades.
Miu Miu
If snowboarding is more your vibe, Miu Miu delivers the full kit from board to booties, with a sorbet sprinkling of padded puffers to match. We never realised that a puff-pastry princess was the thing we wanted to resemble when hitting the slopes. The bubblegum pink crocheted wool helmet is just the icing on the proverbial cake.
Moncler Grenoble
The Moncler brand was created in 1952 in Monestier-de-Clermont, a small village in the mountains near Grenoble, aiming at creating padded sleeping bags and tents for the mountain. Moncler is as a result made to be any mountaineers best friend. Material savvy, with cinched in silhouettes and a stirrup ski suit we'd happily wear when ski season is over.
Fendi
In satisfying sepia shades, Fendi's logomania is as present in the Italian fashion brand's skiwear as it is in their ready to wear. Here, we're able to sport the Karligraphy logo on everything from our emblazoned gloves to our branded ski goggles. Perfect for the après ski, we take the reversible coat off to put the spotlight on the print-on-print base layer.

With sartorial savoir-faire, in the 1960s Fusalp was the first brand to create technical ski stirrup trousers.
