At Le Corbusier’s spectacular Cité Radieuse yesterday in Marseille, Chanel put on a Resort '25 showcase to remember, inspired by the creative pulse of the French city and its inherent surf culture. But the sartorial action didn't wrap up with the final look. The style set in attendance swiftly relocated to the rooftop of rooftop of The Mucem where celebrations ensued, with creative director Virginie Viard and her cast of models taking to the dance floor.
Despite all of the buzz, my head was turned by the beautiful and eclectic display of Chanel purses worn by women from all corners of the world: slung over shoulders, perched on tables and clutched by manicured hands – some even customised with swinging adornments.
