Bookbinders Design unveils new releases for its stationary offerings and we're adding them to the office wish-list
In need of vibrant, joy-inducing additions to your stationery? Look no further than the new releases courtesy of Bookbinders Design, whose refined pieces are also part of the daily rotation at the Vogue Scandinavia office.
First up, the brand has just launched a new, dreamy seasonal colourway for this spring and summer in delicate lilac, aptly titled ‘Lavender’. Drawing inspiration from “rolling lavender fields, dreamy summer twilight, and the gentle scent of fresh lavender bunches,” the serene shade adorns some of Bookbinders Design’s most-loved items, such as notebooks and photo albums. Enveloped in supple bookbinding fabric resulting in a silky-smooth, sophisticated matte finish, the pieces are also available for embossing for those looking to add a personal touch to their lavender products.
Another exciting release from the company dropping in the coming weeks is the new line-up for the brand’s ‘Bookbinders Editions’ series, boasting limited-edition collector’s items created in collaboration with acclaimed artists. “We invite them [the artists] to consider the cloth covering our timeless, hand-made lifestyle products as a blank canvas on which to create freely,” states Bookbinders Design of the collections.

This time, the brand has teamed up with Swedish artist Marie-Louise Ekman, who made her debut in 1967 and has since become a household name in the Swedish art scene. While Ekman has contributed to various fields, from film and theatre to children’s books, the artist is most known for her eclectic paintings. Ekman's Bookbinders Editions line-up comprises two notebooks emblazoned with her designs ‘Lady with Brain Hat’ and ‘Living Room’. The first appears on a fiery red cloth, while the latter featuring a subdued, classic grey.
