Sophie Bille Brahe's beauty shelfies: "Remember to treat yourself, a little self-care goes a long way"

I swim in the ocean every morning, whether it's summer or winter. It’s incredibly therapeutic for both your mind and body. I always make time for a sauna afterwards as the sensation is fantastic and it really boosts blood flow. I use the Tromborg Rose Water Facial Mist to freshen up afterwards.

When I get home, I like showering with a soap that reminds me of something comforting. These days I use Diptyque Philosykos because the scent of fig makes my mind wander back to my summer holiday and the lovely memories I made. Last year, it would have been a coconut soap to remind me of my vacation in Costa Rica. Scent is such a wonderful way to revisit memories.

I've always kept my skincare routine very simple but I've collected some hero products throughout my life that I love and use daily. I spray the Heritage Store Rosewater & Glycerin Hydrating Facial Mist over my face before applying Dalens Oil. I then hydrate my body with Skin Trip Mountain Ocean Coconut Moisturizer.

I try not to be too hard on myself and to treat my skin with kindness. Ageing is a natural process, and I can’t really fight it. I've always found it beautiful when a face tells a person’s story; there's something truly poetic about that.

The best thing I can do for my skin is to get a good night's sleep and to apply an overnight treatment like the Tromborg Enrichment Leave On Mask as it exfoliates, repairs with antioxidants and keeps my skin hydrated.

I have used YSL Beauty Touche Eclat Illuminating Concealer Pen my entire life and it's still a favourite of mine. I brush my eyebrows with Boy Brow from Glossier and then apply the Tromborg Baked Mineral Bronze to add some sunshine to my cheeks.

I love my comb from Buly 1803. It was given to me by someone I hold dear, and my name is engraved on the top. It's such a cherished item of mine.

I stopped wearing perfume after I had children. The only scent I sometimes use is the classic Chanel Coco Eau de Parfum as my mom and grandmother both wear the same fragrance. If my boyfriend is away on business or travelling, I also like to spray on some of his woody Comme des Garcons 2. It's a lovely little reminder of him during the day.

I always keep soaps from Hermès, Santa Maria Novella and Buly 1803 in my chest of drawers or in my suitcase when I'm travelling to scent my clothes. I love having beautiful soaps placed in stacks around my home.

Don’t be too hard on yourself as life can be tough enough. Remember to look in the mirror and speak nicely to yourself. Cherish what you like instead of searching for what you dislike.

Sleeping with a good pillow makes such a difference! I’d wish I had known this when I was younger.

Remember to get enough sleep and to wind down in the hours before crawling under the sheets. The world always looks a little bit better when you’ve had a good night’s rest.

Good sleep doesn’t happen by itself so invest in quality bedding. I sleep with a pillow and duvet from Geismars. We spend hours in bed recuperating and preparing our body and mind for a new day to come. Nothing could be more important.
