Swedish fashion house Acne Studios is amongst the most famous Nordic brands globally, with a history that started from 100 pairs of jeans and grew into a label showing amidst major maisons at Paris Fashion Week. Acne Studios is the epitome of Scandinavian cool mixed with a dose of edginess and season after season, they continue to reveal coveted collections that get snapped up by A-listers and the Hollywood set.
Regularly spotted on sartorial savants, including everyone from Hailey Bieber to Bella Hadid, Acne Studios has cemented its status as the brand for a timeless leather jacket, a sharp, oversized blazer and fashion-forward footwear. A fashion icon herself, Hailey Bieber frequently favours Acne Studios. We’ve seen the model sport the brand en masse throughout the years, often opting for their oversized, boxy blazers or signature denim pieces. Nonetheless, one look particularly is etched into our memories. Stepping out of a buzzy restaurant in Los Angeles, Bieber was spotted donning an Acne Studios leather trench coat adorned with cognac flame motifs – the icing on the cake to her matching black leather corset and denim cargo trousers.

Revolutionising maternity fashion, each of Rihanna’s recent looks have ignited social media, where awe-struck fans just can’t get enough of the mum-to-be (or reportedly, now new mum). The favourite look amongst the Vogue Scandinavia team was naturally a one where the star showcased edgy leather-on-leather layering with two Acne Studios pieces, a python vest and an oversized distressed biker jacket. Tapping into that 90s grunge moment, Rihanna showed that pregnancy outfits can be both bold and experimental.

As another avid fan of Acne Studios, Swedish supermodel Elsa Hosk’s nonchalant off-duty looks regularly include pieces plucked from the house’s latest collections. Like fellow tastemaker Hailey Bieber, Hosk often sports the brand’s staple blazers and jeans. However, we love a head-to-toe Acne moment, and this brightly coloured, oversized striped polo shirt and light blue boot-cut jeans combo is everything we want to wear this summer.

Maybe the most iconic head-to-toe Acne Studios look to date has been provided by Kylie Jenner, when during New York Fashion Week, the beauty magnate was spotted donning a complete Acne ensemble from the house’s autumn/winter 2021 collection. Wearing a double-breasted brown leather coat as a dress, combined with fuzzy knee-high boots and a fuzzy hat, Jenner gave us an unexpected, but all together great Scandi fashion moment.

Wearing pieces fresh off the Acne Studios autumn/winter 2022 runway, famed Spanish singer and songwriter Rosalía was the first to don garments from the collection when she appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in March 2022. Opting for a beautifully draped lilac silk dress coupled with a black mesh top and distressed knit over-the-knee boots, the star gave yet another reason for considering her as a budding fashion icon.

As Acne Studios celebrated the launch of its collaboration with Greek artist Angelo Plessas earlier this year, star-studded attendees flocked to Malibu to party in style. On the guest list was acclaimed Swedish singer Snoh Aalegra, who arrived in a full scarlet Acne look nabbed from their autumn/winter 2022 collection. Replicating the styling from the AW22 runway, Aalegra donned a delicate chiffon dress, worn over a distressed knit turtleneck, teamed with the same over-the-knee boots that fellow star Rosalía wore earlier.

While Dua Lipa was touring in Malaysia in 2018, in addition to her glamorous performance get-ups, the superstar singer served looks offstage. Opting for a laidback tropical vibe with the Y2K accessory of the moment: the crochet bucket hat and Acne Studios spring/summer 2018 Rellah shirt, Lipa finished off the look with an adorable baby blue dress, stacks of gold jewellery and a Balenciaga bag. Further demonstrating her love towards all things Scandinavian fashion, Jenner's cosy off-duty ensembles included a brown polka dot sweater tucked into a pair of light blue jeans. In short, a look that's giving great autumnal inspiration once we hit the cooler months again.

This list wouldn’t be complete without an appearance of the Acne leather biker jacket, and who better to sport it than the iconic Brazilian supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio.
